Director of Sales
The Director of Sales is responsible for constructing and leading major sales initiatives within a pre-determined set of accounts comprised of Pharmaceutical, Biotech, and Medical Device Companies. The sales territory is concentrated in the eastern and central United States. The Director is responsible for presenting Lathian’s capabilities to various audiences and persuading potential customers to utilize Lathian’s solutions. The Director works closely with Lathian operations and marketing to construct proposals and contracts for new and existing clients.
It is critical that the Director creates and maintains selling relationships across the client organization in the areas of brand management, marketing, e-business, professional education, and sales. The Director needs a strong business management approach to selling. Our clients demand a person that can take a consultative approach and take the time to understand their needs and objectives as well as their therapeutic categories then design web based solutions that meet their needs. This position reports directly to the CEO.
Position Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to generate new sales prospects and secure new business as well as maintain and expand existing clients
- Ability to sell the value of new technology based solutions
- A track record of sales success in the field of pharmaceutical or life-science services
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- The ability to formulate, present and implement tactical selling plans and business reviews to both clients and Lathian management
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to move both up and down the client’s table of organization
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Self starter with the ability to work independently from a remote location
- BA/BS degree required, graduate degree a plus

Account Manager
Account Managers serve as Lathian's clients' primary points of contact and are responsible for the day to day management of online promotional and medical education programs. Most importantly, they ensure the effective and efficient execution of innovative Internet marketing programs and services.
Ideal candidates will be highly motivated and energetic. They will also be well organized, intuitive, highly detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication and project management skills.
This role reports to the Director, Client Services.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating cross-functional internal resources
- Establishing and maintaining consultative relationships with clients
- Leading meetings and translating marketing objectives into specific action items
- Creating and maintaining project timelines in order to set client expectations
- Monitoring project scope and executing change orders for out of scope requests
- Creation and ownership of regulatory submissions and other approval documents
- Continually evaluating the development process and recommending improvements
Job Requirements:
- 2-5 years project management/account management experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical/healthcare field
- Experience "owning" projects, communicating directly with key decision makers
- Experience in managing interactive, web-based initiatives is preferred
- Ability to lead both internal and client meetings
- Experience coordinate cross-functional internal teams and resources
- Experience creating and managing project timelines, monitoring project budgets and managing out-of-scope requests
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Travel to client locations is required
- Mastery of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience in MS Project a plus
- Ad agency/interactive agency experience is a plus
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry legal/regulatory processes and requirements a plus
- Direct-to-physician experience is a plus
Education:
Bachelor's degree required.

Flash Designer/Developer
The Flash Designer is responsible for participating the production of animated presentations created in Adobe Flash for the pharmaceutical industry. Must be a self-starter, with strong design skills and fluency in ActionScript.
This role reports to the Manager, Content Development.
Responsibilities include:
- Work with Lathian's Senior Developers and Account Managers to realize our clients' vision and move projects forward
- Design content storyboards for medical technology marketing and educational presentations with excellent layout, typography, and messaging
- Animate content to create clear, compelling, and accurate Flash presentations
- Must have current knowledge of design/motion graphic industry trends and techniques to bring fresh ideas to our work
- Work effectively with national brands by extending them to the web without violating branding guidelines
- Maintain detailed, professional documentation of all tasks
Skills:
- Adobe Flash: Minimum 3 years experience. Must be an expert level ActionScript author. All applicants need to be prepared to take a practical ActionScript exam. Must have strong design and animation skills and be highly productive in this application
- Creative Communication: Must be able to discuss design concepts clearly, verbally and with storyboards and flowcharts. Should be able to propose creative design solutions on the fly
- Business Communication: Must author clear, well-polished reports, inter-company emails to clients, and intra-company emails to account managers
- Getting it right: The content we work with is detailed and scientific; spelling, design accuracy, and attention to detail are critical
- HTML/CSS: Must be comfortable and productive in Adobe Dreamweaver and have through knowledge of web design issues
- Interface design: Strong understanding of interface design, web usability, and accessibility issues
- Adobe Photoshop: Must be skilled in manipulating and creating raster graphics
- Adobe Illustrator: Must be skilled in manipulating and creating vector graphics
- Audio editing: Be able to make simple edits and quality corrections to voice over and music
Education:
Associates degree required. Medical or science background a strong plus.
